Re: Earthquake, Tsunami And Potential Nuclear Meltdown
It was with extreme sadness that we learnt of the recent devastating triple tragedy (a major 8.9 magnitude earthquake, 10 meters high Tsunami and the potential nuclear meltdown at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant),that struck Japan 3 days ago.

While as New Zealanders we are trying to come to terms with the recent earthquake tragedy that occurred in Christchurch that saw 182 lives lost, Japan's loss of more than 10,000 lives is indeed very catastrophic and difficult to bear.
At this time of great devastation, the Muslim community of New Zealand wishes to convey its deepest sympathy to the Government and the citizens of Japan, especially those directly affected in the current tragedy. We share with you in their plight and struggle in seeking relief from this calamity.
We supplicate to God Almighty to bestow His mercy and benevolence to those affected. May He also give them the endurance and strength to reconstruct their lives again.
