Death Of Palestinian Leader Yasser Arafat
Press Release 12 November 2004 The Federation of Islamic Associations of New Zealand Inc. (FIANZ) is saddened by the death of Mr Yasser Arafat, President of the Palestinian Authority. It is a tragic blow to the Palestinian people and for peace in Palestine. It is indeed a significant moment in the history of Palestine.
On behalf on the Federation and the wider Muslim community, I express my deepest condolences to the family of the late President Arafat and to the people of Palestine. We pray to Almighty God to shower His bountiful rewards to the soul of the departed. We also pray for peace and tranquillity for the people of Palestine.
