Dear Brothers and Sisters
Assalaam alaikum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatahu.
Our Prime Minister has requested for all New Zealanders to observe a
2-minutes silence today, Tuesday. 01 Mar at 12.51pm sharp to mark one week after the devastating
Christchurch earthquake.
As a sign of solidarity and respect towards the victims of this deadly
earthquake, I would like to urge all Muslims to join fellow New Zealanders in observing this silence wherever
practical.
In one way or another we have all been affected by this tragedy and gestures
like help will surely foster goodwill, community spirit etc between communities.
