Moon Sighting For The Month of Rajab 1431H

3 June 2010 (Corresponding to 19th Jamad Al-Thani 1431H)

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Islam,

Assalaam Alaykum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatahu.

In preparation for the sighting of the moon for Ramadhan 1431H, and to avoid any ambiguities or confusion, the Hilal Committee would like to confirm the months of Rajab and Sha'aban 1431H.

For your information, the current month of Jumada Al-Thani 1431H started on Sunday, 16 May 2010. The moon for the month of Rajab is expected to be sighted on Sunday, 13 June 2010 (corresponding to 29th Jumada Al-Thani 1431H).

In this respect, members of the community are kindly requested to look out for the new moon of Rajab on Sunday, 13 June 2010.
