Dear Brothers and Sisters in Islam,

Assalaam alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.

We pray that this letter finds you in the very best of health and highest Islamic spirits.

This Circular notice is issued to inform the community that as from 1 January 2010 Nandos is NOT certified "halal" by FIANZ. Based on the revised recommendation of the Ulema Board, FIANZ has decided not to renew Halal certification of Nandos franchises until they have met the new recommendations from the Ulema Board in using only handheld Halal slaughtered chicken in all its cuisine.
